Summary of Position The purpose of this posting is to build a pool of qualified adjunct faculty from which to draw when the need arises. Adjunct faculty may teach one course, or a variety of courses, in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS , Civil Engineering Technology AAS , and Construction Management BS. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in construction surveying, construction finance, construction law, and virtual design & construction will be considered. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended, or online; in Big Rapids, Grand Rapids or other locations to be determined. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected.

Required Qualifications

Required Education The candidate for this temporary assignment will be evaluated based upon specific educational background in the subject matter for which the candidate will be assigned to teach.

Required Work Experience Two years of experience in a construction related field. Appropriate industrial or professional experience (i.e., non-academic) in a construction-related field such as construction, construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. The candidate for this temporary assignment will be evaluated based upon specific experience in the subject matter for which the candidate will be assigned to teach.
