Job Summary | This position is located in Frankfort, Kentucky at the Cabinet for Health and Family Services building. The purpose of this contract is to improve the efficiency of the waiver assessment and auditing tools used to administer the program. This position is a registered nurse that provides clinical decisions while completing waiver audits and collect data to ensure research objectives are met. This position understands the waiver regulations and application procedures and applies them while making audit assessments including verifying Medicaid eligibility. This position ensures audits are made in a timely manner according to Medicaid requirements, reviews resolutions to the member issues evaluated for Medicaid Waiver Management Application ( MWMA ), and provides feedback on the audit reports. This position is directly responsible for conducting an analysis of services within the waivers, conducting root cause analysis of issues within the MWMA , system communication, member and provider calls, and communication from the ombudsman s office and/or legislation. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Knowledge of physical and psychological development. Excellent analytical and decision making skills. Ability to communicate effectively and interact with physically disabled and elderly individuals. Ability to travel throughout the state on a regular basis with the ability to travel out-of-state for overnight trips upon occasion. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Prefer experience working with the elderly and physically disabled. Driver's license is highly desired due to extensive travel. |
