Job Description
The Project Manager will plan and execute routine and special events,
meetings, and projects presented by the Office of Vice President and Chief
of Staff.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in event management,
public relations, or closely related field.
Three years of professional experience in event management, project
management, or other related experience.
Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Work experience in higher education setting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of technologies for managing webpages.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work
on a variety of projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Skill in collecting and analyzing relevant and complex data.
Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of internal
and external constituents, including the FGCU Board of Trustees, elected
officials, Board of Governors, vendors, managers, subject matter experts,
and the general public.
Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently
with minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt, problem solve, prioritize, and work under pressure and
deadlines.

Salary Range
$45,000 - $50,000

Job Duties

Essential Job Duties
•Supports the Office of Vice President and Chief of Staff with responsibility
for planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing routine and special
events, meetings, and projects.
•Assists in the establishing, planning, and evaluating goals and objectives for
events, meetings, and projects.
•Plans, executes, and evaluates projects according to predetermined
timelines and budgets.
•Schedules tasks and collaborates with various constituents, including
vendors and other university departments, to accomplish project results.
Resolves any discrepancies and solves problems throughout the project life
cycle.
•Prepares reports, proposals, meeting agendas and materials, and
correspondence. Takes meeting minutes and prepares final reports to be
distributed.
•Manages and tracks budget, schedule, vendors, logistics, meeting space,
and other details of each special event, meeting, and project.
•Collaborates with leadership in the Office of Vice President and Chief of
Staff to manage appropriate resources for events, meetings, and projects.
•Ensures projects stay on track, communicates project goals and deadlines
effectively, and regularly provides status updates.
•Prepares requisitions and purchase orders, processes invoices for
payment, and schedules and arranges travel as needed.
•Assists in the development of budget recommendations, monitors accounts,
and compiles periodic and budget reports.
•Creates, compiles, and maintains mailing lists. Prepares and executes
mailings as needed.
•Maintains and organizes files, calendars, and archives in a centralized
system, which includes scanning, uploading, and classifying documents and
information to be readily accessible via both paper and electronic means.
•Handles cash and checks collected for work related to the Office of Vice
President and Chief of Staff in a PCI compliant manner.
•Adheres to Florida Sunshine Law for public meetings and public records.
•Serves as essential personnel and provides assistance in the event of an
emergency on campus as assigned for the Office of Vice President and Chief of Staff.
