Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Summary:
Serve as a clinical nurse under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians in an outpatient college health setting. Responsibilities include triage, assisting physicians and patient education. Will be crosstrained and work in the Women's Clinic, Allergy/Immunization Clinic and Medical Clinic.

Required Qualifications:
Licensure to practice nursing as an LPN in the State of Virginia. Evidence of previous professional experience practicing as a LPN in a medical setting. Demonstrated experience with patient assessment / triage. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful and effective relationships with diverse, multicultural student and staff population while demonstrating empathy to patients.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in an outpatient clinical setting. Previous experience working in a higher education medical/clinical environment. Demonstrated computer experience with electronic medical records. Previous experience working in a women's clinic, allergy/immunization clinic and/or medical clinic.
