Job Summary The Communication Sciences and Disorders ( CSD ) Division, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Health Sciences ( CHS ) is currently accepting applications for a full-time (11-month), tenure-track faculty positions. We invite you to become part of a dynamic group of faculty focused on being a national leader in research, instruction, and service.
Primary duties will include; teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses; engaging in scholarly activity, and participating in clinical activity. Additional duties include advising students and participating in service across the division, department and college levels.
Qualified applicants for the position must possess a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related area ( ABD with established scholarly record will be considered with documentation), CCC - SLP , and eligibility for Kentucky State Licensure. Rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualified applicants in all areas of expertise will be considered for the position, but preference will be given to those with expertise in any of the following areas: pediatric speech and feeding, aphasia, phonetics, early intervention, and moderate and severe disabilities. Preference will be given to bilingual candidates who have expertise in working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.

About the CSD Program
The CSD program has offered undergraduate and master's degrees in communication disorders for over 60 years. The qualified candidate will join an outstanding academic faculty devoted to teaching, research, clinical practice, and service. Our faculty is comprised of 9 certified, licensed SLPs, one certified and licensed audiologist and one speech scientist. All faculty are engaged in active clinical practice and research. The UK CSD program is home to six ASHA Fellows, three state DiCarlo recipients, one national DiCarlo winner and a past president of ASHA . Our faculty are funded at the state and national levels including funds from NIH and DOE . Our research portfolio is diverse and places a high value on translational and interdisciplinary science. The qualified candidate will have access to several significant resources including; the College's state of the art teaching and clinical facilities, UK's Center for Clinical Translational Sciences, the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, advanced neonatal and child and adult neuroimaging capabilities, a contiguous Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, our Human Performance Laboratory, the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute, the UK Human Development Institute, and local and public schools. The College of Health Sciences is home to state-of-the-art research laboratories (wet & dry), and maintains strong collaborative ties with colleagues across campus.
