Position Summary:
The Department of Finance at Virginia Tech seeks one or more Assistant, Associate or Full Professors of Finance for our Blacksburg, VA campus. Doctoral degree in finance or closely related field from a premier business school with record of top quality research. Commitment to pursuit of high quality research and teaching excellence are required. Occasional travel to attend professional conferences and meetings and a criminal background check are also required.
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance, conduct and publish top-quality research in Finance, participate in service activities at the University.

Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in finance or related field by time of appointment.
Commitment to pursuit of high quality research and teaching excellence as evidenced by a doctoral thesis showing high quality research, and commitment to teaching excellence.
Occasional travel to attend professional conferences and meetings.
Criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with a doctoral degree in Finance from a premier business school will be strongly preferred.
