PROGRAMMER, Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) (part-time, 50%), to provide programming/writing code, web development, and database support to a department of 500+ faculty, staff, researchers, and students. Will work closely with the CEE communications team on all web- and social media-related initiatives and collaborate with headquarters team on programming-related projects. Responsibilities include working with administrative team to design, develop, and test opportunities for digital output from the department including editing and updating department website, digital communications, and intranet workflow forms/portals; offering guidance on software/software licenses; maintaining standards for the delivery of digital classes/modules and online teaching activities; writing, testing, developing, and modifying code to program websites; creating compatible/complimentary interface opportunities; creating forms/processes using clean and maintainable code; troubleshooting digital performance issues; creating intranet forms/feeds/interfaces for RA appointments; developing an online visiting appointments platform; providing website editing, maintenance, and strategic decision making; upgrading online faculty personnel records; creating and maintaining National Academy of Engineers activities digitally; consistently reviewing, revising, and proposing strategies to achieve the department's short- and long-term goals; and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information technology, or similar discipline; at least five years' programming experience (WordPress experience and knowledge of web technologies and tools and data mapping, mining, and visualization desirable); solid programming skills with C++, MATLAB, Python, C, JAVA, JavaScript, Perl, BASH, HTML, and databases (SQL/MySQL); project management, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills; experience working in an agile development environment; and proven track record of creative thinking and bringing ideas to realization. Must be self-sufficient and able to react quickly in a highly dynamic environment with various development methodologies. Job #14998-P Schedule to be determined.
