Summary of Position Adjunct faculty members are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach at the main campus and off-campus locations. The Humanities Department will contact potential applicants when there are available openings. Teaching and related responsibilities include teaching select U.S. History courses in a face-to-face setting; assuring learning through assessment, close consultations with program faculty, submitting syllabi to the program as well as department and participating in departmental and programmatic assessment of courses, employing strong relationship skills working with individuals diverse communities and cultures.

Required Qualifications

Required Education MA or MS in U.S. History

Required Work Experience Previous experience teaching college-level U.S. History in a traditional classroom setting, with skills in lecturing, facilitating discussions, managing groups, and diverse assessment activities.

Required Licenses and Certifications

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered ABD in U.S. History or PhD in U.S. History. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
