Director of Innovative Technology

This position will foster innovation in the educational community through providing imaginative and intellectual access to the tools and media needed for exploration and discovery leading to the creation of knowledge. This position will also manage the operations of the Learning Resources Center, lead innovative use of technology, and articulate a strategic vision in all areas of technology to become a college-wide resource for faculty and departments in the Darden College of Education ( DCOE ). This position will also engage with the University and other communities to lead the use of technology.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in education or library science with a strong emphasis in educational technology. Considerable experience managing technology integration and innovation in a K-12 setting. Thorough knowledge of best practices and current trends for instructional design and delivery. Evidence of strong communication and presentation skills with experience in professional development. Evidence of technology innovation and thorough knowledge of collection development, management and integration of print, digital and virtual resources. Knowledge of emerging trends in print, digital, and virtual resources and resource use. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree. Some K-20 experience managing technology integration and innovation.
