Graduation Specialist

To review academic records and evaluate eligibility of undergraduate students for graduation. To initiate and maintain contact with eligible students and their departmental advisors through final graduation clearance. To research and resolve graduation problems and concerns.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Working knowledge of information systems and computer software used to prepare correspondence, enter and manipulate data, and produce reports.
Effective time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain established policies and procedures and make decisions based on established criteria. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing when working with a diverse student population. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, make workflow decisions and manage large complex projects independently.

Level and type of experience
Some experience providing customer service and administrative support functions in a college or university setting.

Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
Considerable experience providing customer service and administrative support functions in a college or university setting.
Some experience with the Banner administrative system or other integrated student database. Working knowledge of an automated degree audit system.
Working knowledge of a University Registrar's Office policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
