Position Description:

Performs patient assessments for acute and chronically ill or injured students according to professional standards and practices; documents history and clinical findings; assists in minor surgical procedures; administers immunizations and medications; provides care for students in emergency situations; provides patient education; acts as a health care consultant related to international travel and study; and collaborates with appropriate staff on the development and improvement of goals, protocols, policies and procedures.

Education Requirements:

Associates degree in nursing (ADN) required.

Certifications:

Current Iowa Registered Nurse license required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Bachelor of nursing degree (BSN); at least one year of nursing experience working in a college, university or medical office; and experience with quality improvement initiatives preferred.
