Assistant DPT Flex Program Director - San Marcos, CA

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist program director in the following activities:

1. Believes, upholds, and demonstrates the University of St. Augustine Core Values.
2. Accreditation compliance development.
3. Planning and policy development with skills to implement strategic plan tactics as necessary to fulfill goals and plans of the University; participate with other PT program directors department meetings with Dean.
4. Course/classroom scheduling, procuring, and care of classroom/lab equipment for each term
5. Recruitment, hiring, training/development, and supervision, and annual performance evaluation of faculty for the San Marcos DPT program; support local faculty with student-related advisement, progression, and retention issues
6. Development of local program budget; coordinates local resources needed for classroom/lab activities, faculty scholarship, and student needs
7. Oversees local clinical education office responsibilities, policies, and organizational development.
8. Organize, collect, and analyze program outcome data
9. Interacts with local facility manager, MOT program director, and student services to ensure student satisfaction and seamless communication and processes across all university departments
10. Work with marketing committee, admissions to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the program. Prepare and make presentations to various physical therapy and community groups as needed
11. Coordinate the development of manuals and handbooks; uphold policies of the university
12. Plan and participate in special events for program (i.e. orientation, interviews, registration, info-sessions, fundraisers, off-campus visits, commencement, etc)
13. Teaching responsibilities in entry-level programs; service and scholarship duties as required for all core faculty
14. Other duties as assigned by program director

3. Must be able to work independently with numerous projects/tasks with little or no supervision.

7. Ability to travel to off-site locations for marketing and community/professional activities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. An advanced doctoral degree is preferred, however, candidates with an advanced master's degree or a clinical doctorate will be considered. Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience. Applications will be reviewed immediately and ongoing until the position is filled.

3. Prior entry-level physical therapy education teaching and administration required.
4. Proven organization skills
5. Excellent written, oral, and data analysis skills
6. Experience with collaboration and teamwork building
