Associate Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life

This position is primarily responsible for advising fraternities and sororities in four different governing councils. This position is also responsible for the development of a successful Fraternity/Sorority community. This position also supervises a full-time Coordinator and graduate assistant for fraternity and sorority life, as well as the budget area which includes a full-time budget manager and full-time fiscal assistant. The Associate Director reports to the Director of Leadership and Student Involvement.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in higher education, student personnel, or related field of study. Working experience providing full-time advising in fraternity and sorority life. Some experience with supervision. Some experience in fiscal management. Some experience in program development, implementation. and assessment. Considerable knowledge and understanding of fraternity and sorority life and the recruitment processes of each of the councils on a residential college campus setting. Considerable knowledge of the accepted procedures, practices, and policies related to advising fraternity and sorority life. Considerable knowledge of student development theory. Considerable knowledge of fiscal management practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong problem solving abilities.
