Duties and Responsibilities
The position involves teaching 8 courses a year (4/4 load), including 2 courses for the interdisciplinary Honors Program during the fall 2017 semester as part of the Political Science Department s contribution to that program. The applicant will be expected to teach Introductory Political Theory and American Politics classes, upper division Political Theory classes, and two classes for the Freshman Honors Seminar.

Loyola University Chicago ( LUC ), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Political Science invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track appointment in the Political Science Department for academic year 2017-2018. The department seeks applicants in Political Theory with additional expertise in American Politics. The successful applicant will be joining a department with more than 20 faculty members and more than 500 majors and minors. A completed Ph.D. in Political Science at the time of the appointment is preferred. Applicants should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic education.
