Compliance Assistant


Brief Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for the 12-month, part-time position of Compliance Assistant. Marist College Athletics is a NCAA Division I Intercollegiate program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Compliance Assistant will assist the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance/SWA in monitoring of the Department of Athletics compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains data/documentation related to all aspects of comprehensive rules compliance program, tracking admission and initial eligibility status of incoming prospective student-athletes.
  • Maintains and monitors NCAA squad lists, team practice schedules, coaches' telephone calls; monitors recruiting.
  • Input and maintain data on ARMS software for use in daily compliance activities.
  • Coordination of monthly rules education meetings for coaches and staff; educates staff and campus community in NCAA and MAAC requirements.
  • Monitoring and overseeing administration of all forms of financial aid and awards and benefits for student-athletes.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance/SWA and the Director of Athletics.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred; thorough knowledge of intercollegiate athletics is necessary, knowledge of NCAA rules, ARMS software and NCAA Compliance Assistant Software preferred. Demonstrated experience in sports administration. Strong commitment to the student-athlete and maintain highest standards and values; requires the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and commitment to integrity.
