Position Summary

The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Michigan State University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate professor, academic-year (9-month) faculty position focused on solving problems at the interface of global food security, nutrition, and human health. This position is part of MSU's Global Impact Initiative, and an emerging initiative in the area of Global Nutrition. The successful candidate will link aspects of food security and nutrition to global health and welfare (economic and human development). This individual will conduct research focused on nutritional status of at-risk populations worldwide: health risks that may result from either under nutrition or over-nutrition (or both), and determinants of nutritional status in communities worldwide: both in the US and in other countries around the globe.

Minimum Qualifications

A MD or Ph.D. in Public Health, International Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Food Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
