This position will oversee and manage the facilities maintenance, repairs, housekeeping and general upkeep of the University's student housing consistent with established policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Other duties include supervising and providing leadership for staff performing housing maintenance and housekeeping operations. This position is designated "essential personnel" for emergency closings.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Considerable knowledge of facilities maintenance including electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, painting, carpentry repairs, locksmithing, and housekeeping operations. Familiarity with building codes. Ability to select, train, evaluate and supervise maintenance/ housekeeping staff. Ability to oversee medium size renovation projects and coordinate with project managers on major renovation and construction projects.
Special licenses, registration or certification
Valid driver's license and insurable record.

Level and type of experience
Considerable experience in facilities operations and maintenance. Considerable supervisory experience of larger groups in maintenance or construction setting.
Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
Considerable experience in housing maintenance in an institutional setting, preferably Higher Education. Experience in supervising groups of at least 20. Experience with managing small to medium renovation projects that require coordination between multiple trades. Journeyman or Masters license in skilled trade area, preferably mechanical or electrical trade. Associates or Bachelors degree.
