Position Summary:
The Institutional Chauffeur will transport faculty, staff, students, and Board of Visitor Members in passenger buses, passenger vans, or other specified vehicles as needed. They will drive Fleet Services passenger buses for charter reservations as scheduled during the week and weekends to include daytime and night time hours. Additional responsibilities include loading and unloading luggage, maintaining records of passengers picked up and returned including dates and times, assisting individuals with disabilities as needed, fueling the vehicle, providing excellent customer service, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience operating large motorized vehicles such as a passenger bus
- Experience transporting passengers
- Must have a valid commercial driver's license, Class B or higher with passenger and air brake endorsement.
- Ability to follow relevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation ensuring that passengers follow safety regulations.
- Must possess and maintain a DOT medical certification and successfully complete a drug screening prior to operating a vehicle requiring a CDL license.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a charter/passenger bus and/or large passenger vans
- Strong customer services experience.
- Familiarity with Virginia Tech campus
