Associate Professor of Mathematics - Mathematical Analysis

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the Associate Professor level in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Old Dominion University, starting in January 2018. The Department offers Baccalaureate, Master's and Doctoral degrees in Mathematics and Statistics. The department is seeking a scholar in the area of Mathematical Analysis who has the ability to interface with the Division of Statistics. A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required. The successful candidate will have an outstanding teaching record, including experience in teaching Mathematics for Secondary School Teachers, a strong record in peer-reviewed publications, a commitment to seeking external funding and experience developing student retention strategies in Mathematics. Experience in directing graduate and undergraduate programs is preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualification and experience.
