Brief Summary:
Marist College invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean in the School of Computer Science & Mathematics. The Assistant Dean will work with a highly competent faculty and staff to provide support to the Dean in seeking academic grants and industry funding, increasing student enrollment and services, and building partnerships to advance programs within the school. The school has had great success in obtaining both Federal (NSF) and State Grants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This individual will play a key role in the entire grant process, including determining which grants to apply for, development and writing of the grant, and grant and budget management after the funding is received. Additional responsibilities include budget administration, student advisement, program marketing and working with the school's advisory board.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an earned master's degree and education or work experience in the area of computer technologies. Corporate and/or industrial experience a plus, as well as a demonstrated ability to work with many constituencies, individuals and groups, strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and strong oral and written communication skills.
