Brief Summary:

The English Department at Marist College invites applications for a full-time, one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin in August 2017.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate for this position will be able to teach a variety of courses, including Introduction to Professional Writing; Writing for College; Grammar, Style, & Editing; Writing as a Discipline; and other introductory and upper-level writing workshops. The teaching load will be 4-4.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree (e.g. Writing Studies, Composition and Rhetoric, English, or related field) and college-level teaching experience are required. Professional writing experience is a plus. Ph.D. or M.F.A. preferred.
