Job Description: East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full-time 12 month faculty position to teach MSN students in the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner concentration.

This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Advanced Nursing Practice and Education.

The College of Nursing research emphasis areas are broad.

Responsibilities will include teaching courses in the BSN to MSN Program (Psych NP) and Post Masters certificate option, assisting with clinical evaluation (site visits), academic advising, and participating in collaboration with other disciplines.

Tenure-track or fixed-term position available.


Minimum Qualifications: A valid non-restricted North Carolina registered nurse license is required upon employment.

Masters degree in Nursing required.

Doctoral degree in nursing or related field. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

A minimum of three years of advanced practice clinical experience.

Approval to practice as a nurse practitioner in North Carolina upon employment.

Current National certification as Psych Mental Health NP.

Scholarship activity, effective oral and written communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population of students.

Must have a developing or on-going program of research or scholarly work.
