Title: Assistant Director, Alumni Relations (Regional Groups and Affinity Chapters)

Department: Office of Alumni Relations

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, this individual will serve as liaison with St. John's alumni regionally to cultivate and maintain relationships for chapter growth and support of the University, and engage St. John's alumni in who have affiliation to the school/college from which they graduated or shared a common activity while a student.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as liaison to regional alumni providing response to inquiries and regional event planning
  • Track all activity and provide regular reports on program results post event, annually and yearly
  • Through data analysis, university mission alignment and campus partner goals where relevant, identify strategic regional areas of alumni population and develop programs and chapters to connect alumni to St. John's
  • Develop materials and provide resources to assist the work of alumni groups and committee leaders empowering them to achieve success
  • Assist in the advancement pipeline through volunteer cultivation, stewardship and engagement
  • Partner with Advancement colleagues concerning fundraising efforts and alumni communication for respective regional groups and affinity chapters
  • Record contact reports of meaningful interactions with alumni
  • Identify, recruit and engage volunteers for alumni groups utilizing an effective volunteer structure that is sustainable
  • Other duties and projects as assigned



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's/advanced degrees preferred
  • 3-5 years of advancement or relevant experience required
  • Outgoing and personable
  • Work nights and weekends and willingness to travel
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Extremely organized
  • Able to be self-motivated and creative working with a budget
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook/email programs
