Assistant Athletic Trainer

Old Dominion University is seeking applications for the position Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 12-month position that includes working nights, weekends, and traveling. The individual will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine & Athletic Training and the head football athletic trainer. The primary responsibility will be providing athletic training services for several ODU intercollegiate athletic teams.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with training and experience equivalent to an advanced degree. Graduate of CAHEP or CAATE undergraduate athletic training program or NATA approved graduate program. Current NATA - BOC certification. Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR / AED instructor status. Experience in providing athletic training services for intercollegiate athletic sports or higher. Demonstrated skill in allied health dealing with care and prevention of injuries/conditions occurring to student-athletes. Demonstration of clinical supervision of athletic training students.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience as an athletic trainer in Division 1 ( FBS / FCS ) football.
