SENIOR RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Political Science, to assist four professors with their research- and class-related needs. Responsibilities will include assisting research by engaging in data analysis, conducting computer simulations, aiding in data collection, coordinating research assistants, and assisting with the preparation of experiments and surveys. Will also perform general administrative duties, including processing expenses and assisting with class preparation.

This is an excellent position for someone interested in gaining research experience in quantitative social science, especially for those who plan on seeking an advanced degree in the social science. Past associates have been accepted into top Ph.D. programs in political science.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: some experience with statistical computation (e.g., R, Stata, or Python) and data management. A degree in a social science, statistics, computer science, or a related field is desired. Familiarity with social science research, statistics, and data collection methods would be beneficial. Job #14704-5

This is a two-year position, with reappointment for the second year contingent on a successful performance review. An alternative time frame could be negotiated. The anticipated start date is June 1, 2017.
