The School of Management at Marist College is accepting applications for an adjunct faculty member in Economics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate-level economics courses: Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics. Topics in microeconomics include demand and supply analysis, market failures and government intervention, consumer decision making, supply decisions by firms, industry structure, and the role of ethics in consumer and producer economics decisions. Topics in macroeconomics include economic growth, business cycles, unemployment, inflation, macroeconomic models, fiscal policy, the Federal Reserve System, banking, monetary policy, and the role of ethics in macroeconomics. Classes are taught in a traditional classroom setting on the main campus in Poughkeepsie. Availability to teach during the day is a plus; some classes are offered in the evenings.
Qualifications:
Masters degree. Prior teaching experience is a plus.
