Director of Student Success and Judicial Affairs



Function:
Administer and maintain all facets of the Early Alert program, supervise Veterans Services, and assume other administrative responsibilities in the department and division. Support the Dean of Student Services and Development by handling Student Code of Conduct violations and Student Assistant Committee (SAC) hearing committee, Administrative Withdrawals, Fresh Start, and formal complaints sent to the Dean of Students office. Will serve as a member of the Behavioral Intervention Team.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Administer all aspects of the Early Alert Program.

2. Serve as judicial affairs officer by cultivating student responsibility and accountability through prevention education and by adhering to the college's administration procedure to investigate and adjudicate student code of conduct violations including Academic Integrity. This includes serving as a member of the Behavioral Intervention Team.

3. Evaluate and process Administrative withdrawals.

4. Oversee the Veterans Services staff and budget. Serve as a member of the Veterans Committee.

5. Process Fresh Start requests and formal complaints received by the Dean of Students office.

6. Manage Student Success budget.

7. Process paperwork for office requirements

Physical Demands:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Position requires close visual acuity to perform activities (i.e. preparing/analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes).

Typical office or administrative conditions (i.e. not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions).

Required Qualifications:
1. Master's degree (MA) or equivalent in counseling, academic advising, higher education administration, student development or other relevant field.

2. Three years experience in academic advising or counseling in higher education.

3. Working knowledge of conflict management, restorative justice, and student conduct process.

4. Working knowledge of veteran support services.

5. Experience with analyzing data to assess a program.

6. Excellent listening, speaking, reading and writing communication skills.

7. Excellent computer skills and software knowledge including Microsoft Office which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

8. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Desired Qualifications:
1. Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague or other ERP software and Perceptive Content (WebNow).
