Overview
The State Health and Value Strategies (SHVS) and the State Health Reform Assistance Network (State Network) programs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University are seeking a Program Administrator who will be an integral team member. This is a term position as SHVS and State Network are grant funded projects of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The SHVS provides technical assistance to support state efforts to enhance the quality and value of health care by improving population health and reforming the delivery of health care services.
The State Network provides technical assistance to states in order to maximize coverage expansions under the Affordable Care Act, including insurance exchanges, Medicaid expansion, state innovation waivers, and more.
The Program Administrator will assist program leadership in the day-to-day operations of these programs. This will include management and oversight of program resources, execution of subcontracts entered into by these programs, scheduling calls, webinars, and conferences of state officials, dissemination of program resources and materials, maintenance of program contacts, assistance in required financial reporting requirements, and other duties as directed by program leadership.
This position is one year term position with the possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities
Project management
- Coordinate program management functions of SHVS at the direction of program leadership
- Schedule regular check in calls and other conference calls as directed by program leadership
- Track program subcontracts, executing contracts, submitting contracts for university approval, processing invoices
- Track the activities of expert technical assistance providers in each of the selected states
- Assist in maintenance, preparation and execution of Powerpoint presentations for the program director
- Plan for and participate in convenings and other off-site meetings, up to 10 trips per year. This includes serving as primary contact between program and meetings venues, and the processing of reimbursement and other logistical material related to meetings
- Plan and execute of webinars using Webex platform, in collaboration with program partners
- Participate in program conference calls, webinars, and other discussions and maintaining notes for future reference
Communications, reporting, and process management
- Assist in the drafting of regular updates and annual narrative reports to the Foundation
- Post and manage web content for statenetwork.org in collaboration with outside communication firm
- Maintain reports on status of technical assistance projects and other program initiatives
- Review and copy-edit issue briefs prior to publication, work with communications firm to ensure the timely development of program resources
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degre and two years of relevant work experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills
Preferred:
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail in research and product development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and WebEx or other webinar software
- Demonstrated interest in health care and/or public policy preferred, but not required
