Overview

Princeton University, Office of Design and Construction (ODC), seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic staff.

Reporting to a Program Manager, the Senior Project Manager is responsibility for the management of science related projects (15-20) ranging from $25k to over $100M from the initial planning phases through closeout. Responsibilities include the development of the program and project budget in consultation with the user and the Provost's office. Additional duties include developing and managing the project budget and schedule from the projects' inception through completion while maintaining the expectations of all stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager represents the University's interest throughout the design and construction process and is responsible for the coordination of the University's efforts and the communication plan around the project.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for maintaining portfolio reports for work assigned, keeping project information in departmental reporting systems up to date on a regular basis (SharePoint, financial reporting, and project status reporting).

In some instances the Senior Project Manager may require the use of CADD to develop drawings and specifications for state and or municipal approval with regard to land use, zoning, construction code submissions and other regulating bodies.

Qualifications

Ten plus years project management experience; B. Arch degree or Master's in Architecture, proficiency in science facility design management; budgetary experience; ability to interpret construction documents; understanding of building codes and land use ordinances; working knowledge of architectural principles and science facility design; knowledge of systems--mechanical, electrical, plumbing--and of construction industry practices and procedures. Prior experience using CADD.

Professional registration as an architect is highly preferred.

The final candidate will be required to complete a background check successfully.
