Undergraduate Admissions Counselor

Undergraduate Admissions Counselor

The Enrollment Management Division at Medaille College has an opportunity for an Admissions Counselor to join the Undergraduate Admissions leadership team. The successful candidate will have a number of responsibilities for recruiting students throughout Western and Central New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania, including implementing recruitment strategies, interviewing students and families, representing Medaille College at admissions events, meeting with school counselors, event planning, tele-counseling, territory management and outcomes analysis, and application follow through and review. Knowledge and expertise with social media and trends is preferred. The position involves travel, day and evening, plus occasional weekend hours.  The applicant should have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in Admissions or Private Higher Education.  Knowledge of the strategic use of financial aid to leverage enrollment is a plus.  The applicant should possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
