Coordinator for Communications and Education Outreach

Position Summary:
The Coordinator for Communications and Educational Outreach for the Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research ( CIDER ) will work with the Assistant and Associate Directors to provide support for university-wide programming initiatives.
The coordinator's responsibilities will include planning and completing communications projects such as writing news stories, managing social media, taking photographs, maintaining the unit's website, and assisting colleagues with designing marketing materials. In addition to communications and marketing functions, the Coordinator for Communications and Educational Outreach will assist with the design and creation of educational modules and products.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field or a Master's degree in a related field; experience providing programmatic support in an academic or professional office environment; experience planning and creating PR pieces; knowledge and skillset with graphic design software; ability to work effectively independently and as a team member; ability to work with deadlines; excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Graphic design experience; experience working with content management systems, such as WordPress and/or Ensemble; experience completing large projects independently or with a team; experience reviewing and editing a variety of documents such as web-based articles, and literature reviews/research; experience writing and editing reports, marketing literature, and news articles.
