Digital Media Producer


Title: Digital Media Producer

Department: Marketing and Communications

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Communications, the Digital Media Producer will work with the digital team and assist in the tactical and technical direction of the University web sites and manage the production/lifecycle of all web-related initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of content on SJU related web sites and will provide support to Account Directors and their client's needs; monitoring social media channels, posting content on social media sites, and assisting with paid social post campaigns; and creating, testing and sending HTML emails for various departments within the University.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring SJU brand identity and global site strategy throughout University web sites
  • Provide professional guidance and constructive feedback to project team members
  • Execute daily web site updates and quality assurance/maintenance protocols
  • Develop dynamic HTML pages for specific marketing campaigns
  • Develop, create, and monitor Hubspot pages
  • Produce and distribute daily internal and external email communications and manage general email accounts
  • Assist team in support and execution of content strategy within the CMS and within technical requirements and specifications of SJU digital entities
  • Communicate regularly with Account Directors on project status verbally or via our project management software (Basecamp)
  • Assess web user needs through research and manage site sure satisfaction
  • Produce social media content, manage analytics of channels, create paid program postings, and research new campaigns for University growth
  • Work with video production team to develop multimedia content for web and social channels


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years experience in web, digital space or related field required
  • Strong project management skills and outstanding attention to detail. Organized multi-tasker who can prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines. Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Hands-on execution in web development and data analysis. Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, PHP, JQuery, with competency in Adobe Creative Suite, hubspot. Scala, and basecamp. QuadWrangle experience a plus.
  • Must have experience utilizing CMS (ex. Drupal CMS)
  • Strong information architecture and web design abilities, technical savvy and a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices
