Overview

The Department of Psychology at Princeton University invites applications for a full-time Research Specialist position. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory performance. The research mostly focuses on behavioral decision-making and other aspects of cognition in social contexts.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities involve all aspects of the research process, including recruitment of participants and the collection of data (both on and off campus), data coding, entry and analysis, preparation of manuscripts for publication and other lab duties as assigned. Qualifications

At least two years of research experience in a psychology laboratory that involves behavioral data collection, data entry and analysis is required. Familiarity with the SPSS software package for statistical analysis is desired. Comfort in approaching and interacting with experimental subjects is a must. Strong computer skills, including programming, are preferred. Excellent organizational skills are required.



Position requires minimum BA or BS degree in Psychology or related field. Orientation to detail, conscientiousness, and genuine interest to pursue psychological research are qualities that are critical to perform well in this position.

The final candidate will be required to complete a background check successfully.
