Director of Foundation Accounting / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The primary objective of the Director of Accounting/ CFO of the Educational, Athletic, and Real Estate Foundations is to manage the day-to-day financial, gift processing and administrative operations of those Foundations, the Alumni Association and the Community Development Corporation (the supported organizations) Primary duties include providing guidance to Trustees on development of policies, procedures and strategies for efficient management of the Foundations that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and result in efficient operations of the Foundations. The position will be responsible for preparing financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP , developing financial policies and procedures and serving as back up for the Associate Vice President for Foundations to assist the supported organizations in carrying out their missions.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in business, public administration or related field from an accredited college or university; a bachelor's degree in a related field with equivalent experience to a master's degree may be substituted. Previous recent experience as the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, or related position of a not-for-profit or government organization. Some experience supervising staff. Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures. Extensive background in university or large industry financial management. Demonstrated personnel and organizational management skills. Ability to work with diverse constituencies.

Preferred Qualifications
Current CPA certification.
