Job Summary | The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified Physician with Addiction Medicine and/or Addiction Psychiatry experience and waivered for office-based practice with buprenorphine ( DEA x-license). We are currently expanding both our inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment services, and this rapid growth necessitates additions to our faculty team. Appointment to the appropriate clinical department will be determined by candidate specialty area. The University of Kentucky has a strong tradition of research excellence in substance abuse; research-experienced applicants are welcome and research opportunities are available. Current needs are for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (M.D., D.O., with or without Ph.D.; higher rank positions also considered) to engage in clinical care and clinical research focused on the care of individuals with substance use disorders. We seek an academically focused, skilled clinician, committed to teaching, patient care, and patient-oriented research. Protected time for research and teaching activities will be provided commensurate with the applicant s strengths and interests.
