TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, McGovern Institute for Brain Research (two openings), to join the Wickersham Laboratory , which specializes in developing novel genetic techniques for neuroscience. Responsibilities will include DNA cloning using PCR, cut and paste as well as seamless cloning techniques; bacterial and yeast culture; and other miscellaneous laboratory work.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, biomedical engineering) or a related discipline; a minimum of two years' relevant experience, which may include research/lab experience gained as an undergraduate; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a small team; and strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Experience with molecular biology is preferred. Experience with cell culture and protein purification would be ideal. Job #14461
