POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Love Lab, to explore the feasibility of using liquid biopsies as early response markers to measure the efficacy of cancer treatment in individual patients and predict the durability of clinical response. Will be principally responsible for developing a deep understanding of the dynamics of cell-free DNA (cfDNA), in the presence and absence of therapeutic pressure, using in vitro and in vivo model systems and to validate these findings in highly unique collections of plasma samples from cancer patients. Will apply methods for deep molecular characterization of cfDNA and correlate cfDNA dynamics with objective response criteria such as changes in tumor volume based on medical imaging. As both a postdoctoral associate at MIT and a research affiliate of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the incumbent will work as part of the Broad Institute's Blood Biopsy Team, a highly collaborative group focused on profiling cancer genomes directly from blood samples.
