Fashion Adjunct Professional Lecturer


Brief Summary:

The Fashion Program and the School of Communication and the Arts invite applications for a Fashion Adjunct Lecturer, commencing January 17, 2017 to May 12, 2017. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate courses from introductory to advanced levels of CAD (Computer Assisted Design), PDM (Product Data Management) software, Excel software, 3D Printing and digital fabric printing technology. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong digital and creative skill set and the ability to teach and critique student work based on standards of the fashion industry and be willing to fully manage a digital studio. The Fashion Program within the School of Communication and the Arts offers a Bachelors degree in Fashion with concentrations in Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising. Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach one to three course sections per semester. Course topics may include some or all of the following: Digital Fashion Design I & II, Advanced PDM software. Digital Fashion Design I & II provide creative and technical training to students within the Fashion Design & Merchandising majors in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and creation of fashion flats.


Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master's degree in relevant field and/or commensurate professional experience within the fashion industry. Teaching experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should have strong technical and aesthetic skills, and the ability to teach Adobe Creative Suite applications, product data management, 3D printing and textile printing.
