University Postdoctoral Fellow, Ultrafast Molecular Dynamics/Ultrafast Physical


The Physics Department at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the area of experimental ultrafast molecular dynamics/ultrafast physical chemistry. Information about the Physics Department can be found http://physics.uconn.edu/ .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a PhD in Physics or Physical Chemistry focusing in ultrafast molecular dynamics and energy transfer before the start date. The successful candidate should also have the ability to produce high quality research in a fast paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expertise with ultrafast lasers, velocity map imaging detection or COLTRIM, and experimental UHV systems is desired. Ability or experience in writing publications is preferred.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This position is for an initial duration of one year, renewable for up to two additional years (three years total), contingent on satisfactory performance, mutual agreement and availability of funds.
