The Division of Sport Management is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Sport Management commencing September 1, 2017.

The Division of Sport Management delivers a BS in Sport Management as well as a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Sport Management. Faculty focus on key areas of skill development that include critical thinking, oral and written expression, team membership, leadership and employment readiness. Responsibilities: This is a teaching-intensive position (9 to 12 credit hours per semester) with opportunities for research reductions after the first academic year. Research productivity is important, but secondary to teaching excellence and a strong commitment to student engagement. Division faculty are expected to participate in academic advisement, student mentoring, and other student engagement activities as required by the Chair and/or Dean.

Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess a doctorate in sport management and have experience teaching undergraduate sport management classes as the instructor of record. Area of expertise is open. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience teaching graduate courses and/or possess relevant industry experience.

Candidates should be familiar with technology-supported learning pedagogy and be able to integrate technology into teaching. Candidates must exhibit potential for research productivity and professional growth.
