Position Summary:
Provide superior customer service to visitors of Preston's Restaurant. Greet guests and present the menu, make recommendations or share additional information upon request. Check food items and serving items for quality, correct any issues, and serve food/drinks orders. Fill drink orders and ensure a superior meal experience. Delivers checks and collects payments. Prepares tables for guests including clean tablecloths and napkins, full condiments, arranging glassware and flatware, etc. Follows all relevant health department regulations.

Required Qualifications:
- Hotel or restaurant server experience including set up, service and clean up.
- Skilled in delivery of plated meals.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer problems, complaints and diffuse tense situations.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, in particular as it applies to cash and credit card handling to meet Payment Card Industry requirements.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Strong math skills for itemized checks, application of service charges, and tender exchange.
- Must be able to work effectively within a team, address critical situations and provide exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to balance time between meeting guests needs as well as working with kitchen staff to provide quick and accurate turn-around time.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Fine dining experience, as well as experience hosting and cashiering.
- Knowledge of Point of Sales Systems, preferably MICROS and reservation systems, preferably Open Table.
- Knowledge of Payment Card Industry requirements.
- Knowledge of food, alcohol, specialty drinks and wine menus in a fine dining atmosphere.
