Job Description
The Student Fundraising Ambassador is an essential member of the Office of Annual Giving and is responsible for fundraising efforts for the Greater University Fund. Responsibilities include contacting members of the FGCU community via phone to; update records, foster relationships between prospect and the university and to ask for gifts. Calls are to be conducted in a respectful and professional manner. Working at the Call Center is a unique job opportunity that allows you to strengthen your communication skills, build your resume and your confidence. The Student Caller reports to the Center Manager and the Assistant Director of Annual Giving.

Required Qualifications
•Must be a current student registered at Florida Gulf Coast University
•Strong communication skills, verbal and written
•Ability to use a computer (for data entry purposes)

Preferred Qualifications
•Fundraising experience

Salary Range
$8.50 per hour

Job Duties

Essential Job Duties
•Respect the confidentiality of donor information and sensitivity of personal information
•Work independently to achieve daily, weekly and overall fundraising goals
•Responsible for submitting their pledge tracking form at the end of every shift
•Required to perform all tasks with efficiency, paying particular attention to the quality of details
•Responsible for completing timesheet

Special Instructions to Applicants
•12 hrs./week (minimum 3 shifts/week)
•The call center operates Sunday (12-4),
and Monday - Thursday evenings (5 - 9 PM)
Must fulfill scheduled/required shifts set forth by the Office of Annual Giving
•Complete and pass new hire training
•As a temporary employee, you may not be eligible to participate in all employee benefit programs (e.g., paid leave, retirement, or tuition reimbursement)
