Job Description
As the Nursing, Assistant/Associate Professor you will teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable; be involved in course and/or curriculum development; research/scholarship; participate on College and University committees and/or initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
Certified FNP from a nationally accredited graduate nursing program.
Five years of nursing experience in the ARNP role.
Teaching experience in nursing education.
Unrestricted ARNP licensure or eligibility for unrestricted licensure in the State of Florida.
ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2017. If successful candidate is ABD , appointment will be made at the Instructor I level on a fixed contract.

Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
Record of scholarship leading to professional presentations, research, and/or publications.
Experience as a graduate faculty member in a nursing education program at the University level.
Experience supervising Graduate student scholarly projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication skills and computer skills using web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university

Expectations for scholarship will be those expected for rank as identified in FPED and College documents.
Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at off-campus sites within our region.
Must meet the University and College criteria for the appointment to the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
Appointment will be made at a faculty rank commensurate with the candidate's experience on a 12-month multi-year appointment basis available August 2017.
