Cutchins Chair, Associate Professor

Position Summary:
The Cutchins Chair was established in 1989 as part of the Eminent Scholars Endowment Fund to be used to "attract and retain eminent scholars in the field of English." The Cutchins Chair carries a 5 year renewable term, and the faculty appointment will be with tenure at the Associate Professor level. Area of specialization open.

Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree appropriate to field, achieved scholarly and/or creative excellence, an academic record commensurate with an appointment at the rank of associate professor, promise of continued national and international prominence, outstanding teaching, and ability to foster diversity in the curriculum and department.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with, teaching, and/or mentoring diverse groups; experience and success in teaching and advising graduate students; and experience with or interest in interdisciplinary collaborations.
