Criminology Assistant Professor

Position Summary:
Must have Ph.D. in sociology, criminology, or criminal justice. Substantive areas of research within criminology are open, with a focus on race and social justice. Must maintain a productive research program, seek extramural funding, and contribute to the undergraduate and graduate programs. Must be able to teach classes in the area of race and crime, and at least one of the following areas: the sociology of policing; the sociology of violence; peace and social justice; or cyber crime and security. The normal teaching load is two courses each semester.

Required Qualifications:
PhD in sociology , criminology, or criminal justice at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in sociology
