Position Summary:
Oversee the acquisition of goods and services that are related to university strategic initiatives, service agreements and special projects. Serve as lead negotiator for establishing strategic vendor agreements for goods and services that are purchased in high volume by the university. Perform research and analysis to determine potential strategic contract opportunities to pursue. Determine if existing contracts are viable and should be renewed, allowed to expire, terminated, or cancelled.

Required Qualifications:
-Experience and knowledge in government procurement and contract administration.
-Strong analytical, planning and negotiation abilities;
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with internal ERP and e-procurement systems and report generation.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in developing, awarding, and administering complex term contracts;
-Knowledge of competitive purchasing processes;
-Experience in high volume purchasing of a broad range of products and services.
-Bachelors Degree in business or related field; Professional Purchasing Certification.
