Position Summary:
Provides operational support and assists in the training and supervision of staff in a large, mobile unit, or high volume food service facility. Responsibilities include supervision of employees across all shifts in the assigned work area, coordination of food production, recipe management, product movement, quality control, customer satisfaction, and diversion/waste logs. Uses commercial kitchen equipment and standard recipes and procedures in preparation of nutritious and attractive menu items. Ensures safety and sanitation procedures are followed and documented according to Dining Services HACCP guidelines. Assists in completing inventories and ensuring that stock is rotated according to FIFO . Assists in the proper storage, and required documentations of goods received. Ensures a high level of customer service and responds to guest complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience in food service. Knowledge of safe food handling procedures, safety and sanitation. Experience using basic math, weights, and measurements to follow recipes and standard operating procedures. Experience operating basic commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to effectively communicate, work in a team environment, work quickly and efficiently, and possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and work with little or no supervision in an off-site mobile unit. Ability to obtain a ServSafe certification within 6 months or demonstrate the working knowledge of safe food handling procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within a large high volume, multi-menu, food service facility. Working knowledge of computers including Windows and Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience in working with a POS system and completing related paperwork. Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to drive a mobile unit in daylight or night situations.
