The Role
The USAHS seeks Lab Instructors to teach the lab component of required courses. Lab Instructors have various responsibilities such as organizing/maintaining equipment, preparing the lab environment, monitoring student progress and facilitating student participation in learning activities. Lab Instructors assess student performance on practical examinations, which may include an oral and/or written component. They have regular communication with the Lead Course Instructor to ensure consistency with content delivery and testing, and may recommend changes to procedures in the lab for any upcoming terms. Lab Instructors supervise Lab Assistants when available and are responsible for reporting student grades on practical examinations, after the completion of each practical, and at end of term to the Lead Course Instructor.

External Requirements
Candidate's Background Requirements
The qualified candidate must be a licensed occupational or physical therapist with demonstrated expertise in the area being taught. At least1 year of practical hands-on experience in a patient care setting is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have excellent oral communication and organizational skills, be responsive to adult student needs, and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
