Senior Instructional Designer and Case Writer

SENIOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER AND CASE WRITER, Center for Real Estate-Samuel Tak Lee Real Estate Entrepreneurship Laboratory (STL Lab), to work closely with the principal investigator and research teams to develop the framework for case studies, create interactive assessments, develop the story, and write the majority of the case content. Responsibilities include working closely with the creative director, developing and writing storyboard and scripts that accomplish learning goals; creating engaging learning activities and compelling content for a multimedia environment; advising on and creating interactive activities and assessments based on the research team's learning objectives; developing criteria used to judge learner's performance and potentially assessment instruments; creating content with the goal of developing templates and formats for a new educational product; and overseeing other content writers.

The STL Lab's mission is to encourage social responsibility among entrepreneurs and academics in real estate, urban planning, design, and development worldwide, with a particular focus on the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: at least five years' experience with multimedia instructional design; ability to develop a collaborative vision for stories and a new educational product and to research, write, and produce compelling activities and copy for education in the built environment; experience/skill with lesson and curriculum planning and researching/writing content for case studies; ability to write effective and engaging copy, instructional text, and audio scripts/video scripts; ability to work with diverse stakeholders in an academic (or similar) setting; self-motivation and ability to work independently; and interest in building a small team of innovative practitioners and researchers. Foreign language (especially Mandarin) skills a plus; as is a passion for developing educational content around innovative and social impact real estate, business, and urban planning. Graduate degree in relevant field preferred. Job #13672-P
