Research Support Associate - Vander Heiden Lab



RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Koch Institute for Integrateive Cancer Research-Vander Heiden Lab, to be responsible for the treatment of research animals including surgeries, tissue harvesting, and animal husbandry; DNA isolation, PCR, and gel electrophoresis; maintaining a detailed and organized lab notebook; participating in group meetings and discussions; and performing general laboratory maintenance. This is an entry-level position.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: working knowledge of general laboratory and administrative practices and procedures, strong interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to work with mice, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Seek a well-organized individual with excellent time management skills who is able to work effectively in a dynamic and diverse laboratory setting. Must possess an awareness of the critical aspects of laboratory and chemical safety, along with the ability to follow procedures and maintain a safe work environment. A bachelor's degree, lab experience, and experience working with mice are preferred. Job #13479-4


This is a one-year, term appointment with the possibility of extension pending available funding.
